Design Studio
The Design Studio is our interior design, styling and furniture sourcing service — a considered, personal alternative to generic interior design. We work with homeowners, Airbnb hosts, holiday-let owners, boutique hotels and commercial spaces who want their interiors to feel genuinely right, not just finished.
We’re based in the Lake District, Cumbria, and work with clients across the UK.
What we do
Interior Design Consultancy
Full interior design support from initial brief through to final styling. We help you understand what your space needs, develop a coherent design direction, and source the right pieces to bring it to life. Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining an existing interior, we work at the pace and depth that suits your project.
Interior Styling
For spaces that are structurally complete but need the final layer — the furniture arrangement, the textiles, the lighting, the objects that make a room feel finished. Styling is often the difference between a room that looks good in photographs and one that feels genuinely good to be in.
Furniture & Homeware Sourcing
We source furniture, lighting, mirrors, textiles, ceramics and accessories for client projects, drawing on our curated supplier network and our own furniture and home décor ranges. We find pieces that are right for the space, the budget and the brief — not just what’s available.
Holiday Let & Airbnb Interior Design
We specialise in designing and furnishing holiday lets, Airbnbs and short-term rental properties — particularly in the Lake District and Cumbria, where we understand the market, the guest expectations and the practical demands of a high-turnover property. A well-designed holiday let commands better reviews, higher nightly rates and stronger repeat bookings.
Boutique Hotel & Hospitality Interiors
We work with boutique hotels, inns, restaurants and hospitality businesses that want interiors with genuine character. We understand the balance between guest experience, operational practicality and brand identity, and we bring the same considered approach to commercial projects as we do to private homes.
Residential Interiors
For homeowners who want expert guidance on furnishing and styling their home — whether that’s a single room, a full house, or a renovation project. We work across all interior styles, with particular depth in farmhouse, country, Scandinavian-influenced and contemporary British interiors.
End-to-End Design Partnership
For larger projects, we offer a full end-to-end service: from initial consultation and mood-boarding through to sourcing, procurement, delivery coordination and final installation. You brief us once; we handle the rest.
Our approach
We work in a calm, detail-led way. We listen carefully, ask the right questions, and take the time to understand a space before we make recommendations. We don’t push a house style — we work with what the space, the client and the brief actually need.
Because we run our own homeware and furniture shop, we have direct access to a curated range of pieces and a broad supplier network. That means faster sourcing, better value and a more coherent result than working with a designer who has to start from scratch every time.
